Position Overview

Principal Service Solutions is a premier provider of technical workforce solutions, dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency for high-tech enterprises globally.

We are currently on the lookout for both Entry Level and Experienced Field Service Technicians specializing in the semiconductor sector. This position entails comprehensive training in the modification, installation, servicing, and upkeep of semiconductor machinery within manufacturing cleanroom environments, supported by extensive on-the-job training.

Occasional travel for short-term projects or training may be required, including overnight stays at various facilities as necessary.

We seek individuals who possess a strong attention to detail and a foundational background in electrical and mechanical disciplines, ready to embark on a career with significant growth potential.

Compensation Range: $26.00/hr to $31.00/hr DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site servicing and repairs of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients to minimize equipment downtime
  • Order and install necessary components
  • Respond to urgent service requests
  • Provide training to customer technicians on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Implement equipment upgrades and modifications as needed
  • Stay informed on equipment and tools through ongoing training and relevant resources
  • Ensure the maintenance and security of company assets
  • Uphold professional conduct standards while on customer sites

Minimum Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Essential electrical/electronic and mechanical skills, with proficiency in using relevant tools
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints, and diagnose electromechanical devices
  • Strong understanding of technical aspects related to equipment maintenance
  • Willingness to travel for training and project assignments
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights
  • Excellent customer service abilities

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma is required; an Associate Degree in a relevant field is preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform tasks in confined spaces, cleanroom settings, and at heights
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity, with the capability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • May involve bending, crawling, and climbing
  • Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory
