Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to fill the role of Semiconductor Equipment Service Technician at Principal Service Solutions. This position is essential in ensuring the operational excellence of semiconductor manufacturing processes through effective maintenance and repair of critical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site servicing and repairs of semiconductor processing machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Order and install necessary parts for equipment functionality.
  • Respond to urgent service requests as needed.
  • Provide training to customer technicians on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to existing equipment.
  • Stay updated on equipment and tools through training and relevant materials.
  • Ensure the upkeep and security of company property, including tools and vehicles.
  • Adhere to conduct standards set by Principal Service Solutions and clients.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required, but familiarity with maintenance and troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment is a plus.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Comprehensive understanding of technical issues related to equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Willingness to travel for training and project needs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for customer interactions.

Educational Background:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Engineering, or Technology is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks in confined spaces and in a cleanroom environment.
  • Manual dexterity and capability to lift objects up to 35 pounds.
  • May involve bending, stooping, crawling, or climbing.
  • Compliance with safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
