About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Framatome's Fuel Business Unit as a Neutronics Codes and Methods Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the engineering software used to design and license fuel assemblies for our customers' nuclear reactor cores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop software and company products that support the design and licensing of Framatome fuel.
  • Program new or revise existing software based on technical and performance objectives of a project.
  • Perform licensing assessments for Framatome fuel design and methods.
  • Develop and benchmark models used in licensing assessments.
  • Interface with U.S. regulations to license Framatome reactor core design and methods.
  • Work within a Linux computing environment.
Requirements
  • BS in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree in similar fields may be substituted for related experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Experience with software development, computer model development, and nuclear industry analysis code.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse groups.
  • Experience developing and documenting software within an NQA-1 quality assurance program.
