Job Description

Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a qualified individual to provide on-site support for our client. The Senior Project Implementation Specialist role is crucial in delivering technical assistance, governance, and support services for Enterprise Risk Projects. This position is focused on ensuring high standards of quality, safety, timely execution, and adherence to budget constraints. The responsibilities include enhancing project timelines, minimizing expenses, and addressing potential risks while collaborating closely with CPM or RMM Managers and Project Managers.

Compensation: $84.67 – $112.06 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to enhance schedule efficiency, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Identify and rectify errors or misunderstandings to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage essential documentation including:
    • Project Schedules (work management and lifecycle)
    • Implementation Methods (EN and Vendor)
    • Risk Registers, Work Orders, and Related Documentation (weld records, ASME Section XI repair plans, field sketches, etc.)
    • Quality Control Inspections & Hold Points
    • Testing & Commissioning Plans
    • Clearance Orders & Turnover Strategies
    • Materials, Tools, and Specialty Equipment
    • Resource Load Boards (mobilization and demobilization strategies)
    • Budget Estimates (assumptions, constraints, unit rates, wage rates, etc.)
    • Radiological Strategies (contamination controls, decontamination strategies, etc.)
    • Rigging/Material Handling Plans
  • Ensure the quality of all Work Order Tasks (WOTs) related to assigned scope before field operations commence.
  • Correct WOTs that lack quality, contain inaccuracies, or are poorly constructed.
  • Enhance factory, shop, site, mock-up, and post-modification testing/acceptance plans.
  • Identify processes that could benefit from mock-ups.
  • Provide insights and guidance to optimize the effectiveness of mock-ups.
  • Share relevant operational experiences and identify applicable industry practices.
  • Formulate response strategies based on these experiences.
  • Act as the ASME Person in Charge for Section XI Repair & Replacement Plan work scope as necessary.
  • Stay updated on codes, standards, innovative technologies, technical skills, implementation strategies, and industry trends related to Enterprise Risk Projects.
  • Deliver timely and honest feedback to Project Managers, Oversight Managers, and Department Management regarding project strategies and implementations.
  • Supervise shop or field activities to ensure compliance with project strategies.
  • Provide coaching to maintain adherence to project plans.
  • Serve as the lead for project activities during shifts opposite the Project Manager.
  • Oversee teams of more than 50 personnel as required.
  • Collaborate with vendor resources to identify and eliminate obstacles.
  • Engage in key strategy meetings with the Project Manager, including Design Review Boards, Steering Committees, Integrated Implementation Briefings, High-Risk Work Plan Challenge Meetings, Project Readiness/Challenge Meetings, Schedule Development Meetings, and Risk Management Meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced (graduate) degree in a relevant field or business AND 10 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or business AND 12 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution AND 14 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED AND 16 years of mechanical experience in a nuclear, steam-cycle, and/or regulated industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in construction management.
  • Proven track record in multiple refueling outages at a commercial nuclear power facility.
  • Experience with operational processes at a commercial nuclear power plant.
  • Familiarity with feedwater heaters and their internal components.
  • Knowledge of steam systems.
  • Experience with ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel code vessels, heat exchangers, piping, and valves.
  • Certifications related to mechanical disciplines, construction, or project management are preferred.
  • Background in civil or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficient in Enterprise Management Software (Asset Suite, SAP, etc.).
  • Familiar with logic-driven schedules produced by Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Understanding of code and regulatory requirements pertaining to maintenance and field work activities.
  • Knowledge of error reduction and human performance improvement methods, as well as cost-effective work execution methodologies.
  • Familiarity with procedures and processes related to maintenance and engineering tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency.
