Your Contributions to the Team
  • Assist clients in navigating a variety of decision-making scenarios related to current and future nuclear operations. Utilize a systematic and analytical methodology to define problems through stakeholder engagement, gather relevant data, and analyze it to deliver actionable insights. Facilitate communication with stakeholders, senior leadership, engineering teams, and operational staff, as well as lead multidisciplinary workshops.
  • Design, validate, and maintain discrete event simulation models to address performance challenges in both existing and innovative nuclear facilities.
  • Lead workshops to determine modeling requirements and necessary inputs.
  • Evaluate simulation outcomes to forecast facility performance and identify critical bottlenecks. Collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate or eliminate these bottlenecks, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
  • Engage in business development activities by creating materials for proposals that showcase our operational research modeling capabilities.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operational Research, or Management Science.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; 10 years preferred.
  • Experience with discrete event simulation modeling is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proactive approach.
  • Self-driven, energetic team player capable of collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven success in delivering technical projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with discrete event simulation software (preferably WITNESS or similar tools such as ARENA, SIMUL8, FLEXSIM).
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Visual Basic, Python, or R.
  • Competent in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, Visio, and Access.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Visual Studio.
