Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Technician to join our team as an Overhead Crane Service Technician. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of cranes and hoists to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of parts, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on-site, using advanced diagnostic techniques and tools.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their material handling needs and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Document all work performed, including findings, recommendations, and customer interactions, using company-approved software and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with industry codes and regulations, including OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, and HMI, to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, controls, and safety features.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
