Grant Management Specialist at Hamilton Health Center

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research on federal, state, and local funding agencies, foundations, and corporations to identify grant opportunities; foster relationships to secure funding.
  • Analyze complex data from diverse sources to effectively communicate and substantiate concepts for grant applications.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to prepare detailed grant budgets.
  • Develop and maintain budget templates for the Controller's utilization.
  • Oversee records, reports, and resources to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Draft sections of grant proposals, including budget narratives and personnel information.
  • Compile necessary supporting documents such as job descriptions and resumes for proposals.
  • Investigate funding sources and disseminate opportunities to staff members.
  • Coordinate administrative support for grant initiatives.
  • Execute administrative tasks to fulfill proposal specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with staff on grant-related projects.
  • Manage special projects and other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare services and medical terminology.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Skilled in spreadsheet, word processing, and database applications.
    • Experience with HTML coding and online database exploration.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Willingness to work cooperatively with clinic staff and the community.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a FQHC or healthcare system.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Grant Writing or Research.
  • Understanding of The Joint Commission standards.
