POSITION OVERVIEW

The Office of Comptroller Operations is seeking a dedicated Financial Operations Associate to embark on a career in accounting and auditing. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

In the capacity of a Financial Operations Associate, you will be instrumental in the processing and evaluation of sub-recipients' single audit reporting packages within the Sub-recipient Single Audit Desk Review Unit. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, which governs Uniform Administrative, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. You will also support grant management and oversight tasks, identifying available federal funding opportunities and monitoring authorized federal grant expenditures to optimize the use of these funds.

WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Full-time employment
  • Standard work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 60-minute lunch break.
  • Telework: This position may offer the flexibility to work from home full-time, with occasional in-office requirements as needed. A secure high-speed internet connection is necessary for telework, and work must be conducted from an approved location.
  • Employees will need to report to headquarters to collect equipment and attend periodic meetings.
  • Salary: The starting salary may be non-negotiable in certain cases.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience and Training:

  • Three years as an Accounting Assistant (commonwealth title) with 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
  • Two years as a Fiscal Technician (commonwealth title) with 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
  • A bachelor's degree with 21 credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 21 college credits in accounting and an additional 3 credits in finance or accounting.
