Role Summary:

The Senior Director of Sales for Retail Alternatives will be instrumental in fostering relationships with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), banks, family offices, and other intermediary channels. This role is pivotal in establishing Wilshire as a leading provider of institutional-quality fund offerings. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, alternative investment teams, sales and client services, and product development departments. Daily responsibilities will include conducting market research to identify potential clients, crafting effective outreach strategies, and utilizing marketing resources to promote our investment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Wilshire's Retail Alternatives products.
  • Design and implement outreach strategies while managing advisor relationships.
  • Communicate the advantages of incorporating high-quality private market exposure into portfolio allocations.
  • Work alongside the sales and marketing teams to create and refine sales literature, marketing materials, and educational resources for advisors.
  • Maintain an organized CRM and database for tracking prospects and client relationships.
  • Stay informed about market trends and developments in alternative retail products.
  • Engage relevant subject matter experts to facilitate and successfully close business transactions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the RIA, bank, and family office sectors, with 5-10 years in direct sales and client service roles.
  • Proven success in selling interval or tender offer funds, Business Development Companies (BDCs), or private investments.
  • Established relationships with professional buyers and investment teams at home offices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of investment structures, purchasing cycles, and key distribution channels.
  • Possession of FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses is required.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with a results-oriented and goal-driven mindset.
  • Collaborative team player with strong integrity and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Additional Information:
  • This position operates on a hybrid work model.

The compensation range for this role is between $170,000 and $250,000, determined based on various factors such as location, qualifications, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a full suite of health and financial benefits.
