About the Role

The University of California, Irvine is seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of our team, including supervision of staff, prioritization of workload, resource allocation, and maintenance of required resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of administrative assistants and oversee the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Prioritize workload and allocate resources to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve departmental operations and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience in a supervisory or executive assistant role, preferably in an academic medical center environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
