About the Role

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Parking Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Transportation and Distribution Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parking services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of parking operations and enforcement staff.
  • Direct subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Develop and maintain rapport and professional relationships with assigned staff, peers, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Effectively communicate program policies and processes to staff and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple priorities and execute plans to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal skills to motivate and develop staff.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to explain policies and processes.
  • Working knowledge of parking procedures and enforcement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute plans.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring and advising employees.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in transportation, parking, or public administration.
  • Knowledge of California Vehicle Code and UC parking policies.
  • Organizational skills to coordinate staff schedules and unit operations.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions and may be required to work a variable 4/40 work schedule that includes nights and weekends.
