Human Resources Support Specialist

Position Overview:
The ACLU of Washington (ACLU-WA) is dedicated to the promotion of liberty and justice across various platforms, including legal, legislative, and community engagement.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a full-time People Services Associate (PSA) who will play a crucial role in providing internal administrative assistance. This position is essential in ensuring that our staff are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively while fostering a welcoming and inclusive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Administration:
Handle mail processing and manage the organization’s phoneline, voicemails, and online inquiries. Maintain office supplies through inventory management and ordering. - Team and Project Coordination:
Provide administrative support to the People Services Group (PSG), facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, and manage electronic and physical filing systems. Draft and proofread various communications and materials. - Meeting Management:
Organize meetings, take minutes, prepare necessary materials, and track follow-up actions. Participate in subcommittees aimed at enhancing workplace culture. - Facilities Management:
Act as a liaison with external contractors, assist in space planning, and ensure the physical workspace is safe and accessible. Manage work order requests efficiently. - Additional Duties:
Engage in race equity initiatives and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess at least 2 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a non-profit or advocacy setting. Strong customer service skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and proficiency in MS Office Suite are essential. A commitment to confidentiality and a strong understanding of civil rights and racial equity are also required.
Work Environment:
