Your career at TÜV SÜD Group awaits As a Product Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, testing, and documenting products to ensure they meet both international and national safety standards. Your deliverables will include Certificates, Test Reports, and Technical Reports tailored to our clients' needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct safety evaluations according to established international safety standards and laboratory procedures. Review testing protocols and specifications prior to execution.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation for customer products, adhering to relevant standards.

Drive revenue by accurately billing engineering time to TÜV SÜD clients, typically on a project basis, which may include Constructional Reviews, Testing, Preliminary Evaluations, and Certification processes.

Ensure all testing documentation is completed accurately and promptly, ready for incorporation into final reports.

Maintain proficiency in operational procedures for all testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.

Adhere to standard laboratory operating procedures, including documentation, equipment storage, and cleanliness of test areas.

Engage in customer kickoff meetings to guarantee alignment on testing plans and proper configuration of samples.

Prepare and assess test reports, providing constructive feedback to enhance the quality of deliverables.

Stay informed about the latest design theories and technical advancements in relevant fields by participating in training sessions, attending seminars, and reviewing technical literature.

Ensure testing environments and equipment are well-maintained and ready for client requirements.

Examine each test's requirements to prevent conflicts or deficiencies related to equipment, test areas, and personnel qualifications.

Collaborate with the regional product safety team to prepare for and conduct audits, both internal and external.

Foster a positive work atmosphere through effective communication, improved lab organization, and recognition of achievements.

Provide expert engineering guidance to TÜV SÜD clients to ensure compliance with international safety regulations.

Work closely with the Technical Support team and Account Executives to provide accurate time estimates for testing and technical assistance for safety projects, including advising customers on standards and certification requirements.

Communicate effectively and courteously with both internal and external stakeholders, providing technical insights and information regarding compliance.


EQUIPMENT USED:
Utilize specialized testing laboratory equipment and general office tools, including computers, printers, and communication devices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


The physical demands of this role require the ability to walk, stoop, kneel, and reach, as well as the capacity to sit and use hands for various tasks. Close vision is necessary, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds may be required.

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, with potential domestic and international travel.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team; excellent oral and written communication skills; proactive and motivated approach; strong organizational skills with attention to detail; adept at customer interaction at all levels; sound judgment and problem-solving abilities; openness to others' ideas and collaboration.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of experience in Product Safety, with familiarity in consumer product safety standards. Experience with ISO 17025, CRM, and SAP platforms is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential for effective information sharing.
