Position Overview:
Role: Tester

General Purpose:
The Tester is responsible for evaluating electronic components of the Nacelle prior to final assembly, ensuring adherence to Vestas' quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize safety during testing procedures, given the presence of high hydraulic pressures and voltages.
  • Conduct quality control tests on assembled products to prevent defects from progressing to subsequent stages.
  • Ensure compliance with Vestas' quality and testing protocols before products move to the next operation.
  • Perform assembly and process tasks as required, including covering for absent team members.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot test failures effectively.
  • Act as the primary contact for engineering changes within the operation.
  • Document non-conformance reports for products not meeting quality specifications.
  • Inspect products to verify compliance with order specifications and quality control standards.
  • Complete QDA entries, marking products with approval or rejection stamps and generating reports.
  • Provide responsive customer service for service requests.
  • Engage in teamwork by giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and demonstrate ethical behavior.
  • Maintain a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Observe safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and correspondence.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.

Qualifications:
  • Journeyman or Master Electrical license with 4 years of hands-on experience, or equivalent documented education and experience in electrical systems.
  • Completion of annual electrical and hydraulic safety training.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing and spreadsheet software.
  • Mathematical skills to perform basic calculations and interpret data.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Experience with troubleshooting in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:
The role requires frequent standing, walking, and the use of hands for various tasks. Employees may need to lift up to 30 pounds and must have specific vision abilities for close and peripheral vision.

Work Environment:
Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts and are occasionally exposed to high places and electrical hazards. The noise level is typically moderate.

Salary Range: $30.00 - $39.00
