This position directly manages safety, production, and quality assurance, fostering collaboration across various departments.

Ideal candidates will oversee and synchronize these operations to ensure timely product delivery while adhering to quality standards and budgetary constraints.


Key Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and development opportunities for the team, fostering an engaging atmosphere with clearly defined roles, objectives, and visibility into weekly progress updates.

Collaborate effectively within a matrix structure.

Work alongside sales to align on demand forecasting, ensuring that production meets future requirements and that products are dispatched accurately and on schedule.

Stay informed about equipment modifications, upgrades, and changes.

In conjunction with the Senior Director of Manufacturing, manage the annual budget, including capital investments, and oversee the preparation of cost control documentation, labor estimates, and facility requirement forecasts.

Cultivate a company culture centered on Continuous Improvement and Accountability. Advocate for and implement lean manufacturing practices and ongoing enhancements throughout the operation.
Develop and standardize manufacturing procedures based on comparative analyses of methodologies, costs, and production metrics.
Identify and nurture process improvement leaders to consistently evaluate and enhance operational efficiencies.
Oversee product manufacturing to ensure cost-effectiveness while meeting established quality and quantity specifications.
Implement inventory management practices to achieve optimal turnover rates.

Remain updated on equipment changes that may necessitate adjustments in operational scope.

Ensure compliance with all relevant OSHA, EPA, local regulations, and company safety protocols.
Guarantee that all team members adhere to applicable safety regulations and policies.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

A minimum of 7 years in food production operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

A proven history of effectively managing large-scale food production operations, emphasizing efficiency, quality assurance, and cost management.

Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and experience in implementing safety and sanitation measures in a manufacturing context.

Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, capable of motivating a diverse team toward shared objectives.

Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, utilizing a data-driven approach to enhance processes and operations.

Outstanding organizational and project management capabilities, adept at prioritizing tasks, managing multiple initiatives concurrently, and meeting stringent deadlines.

Proficient in ERP systems and other manufacturing software for production scheduling, inventory oversight, and reporting.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interaction with personnel at all organizational levels.

A demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices.

Additional Qualifications:
Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent training in continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience in a regulated food production environment (e.g., HACCP, GMP). Familiarity with sustainability practices in food manufacturing.
Previous experience in implementing automation and technological advancements to enhance production processes.
Knowledge of international food safety and quality standards (e.g., ISO).
Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $158,000 annually, representing one component of our comprehensive compensation package.

In addition to the salary, this role is eligible for potential annual bonuses and equity. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
