Join TÜV SÜD Group as a Product Safety Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring product compliance with international and national safety standards. In this position, you will conduct inspections, perform tests, and document findings to provide clients with Certificates, Test Reports, and Technical Reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct safety evaluations in accordance with established international safety standards and testing protocols.
- Review and prepare technical documentation and reports to meet customer requirements.
- Generate revenue through billable engineering services for TÜV SÜD clients, focusing on various activities such as Constructional Reviews, Testing, and Certification processes.
- Ensure all testing documentation is accurate and completed promptly for inclusion in final reports.
- Maintain operational knowledge of testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Adhere to standard laboratory procedures, including documentation, equipment storage, and lab maintenance.
- Engage in client meetings to clarify testing plans and ensure proper sample preparation.
- Review and enhance test reports, providing constructive feedback to improve overall quality.
- Stay informed on the latest design theories and product standards by participating in training sessions and industry seminars.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role requires physical activity, including walking, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The work environment is moderate in noise level, with potential travel requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Product Safety, with familiarity in consumer product safety standards preferred.
SKILLS:
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
