Position Overview:
The Interventional Radiology Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering direct patient care within the Interventional Radiology department. This nursing position demands proficiency in coordinating patient care, triaging cases, and collaborating effectively with healthcare providers, fellows, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient assessments and document findings according to established standards.
  • Develop and implement individualized Plans of Care (POC) based on assessment data.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress towards achieving desired health outcomes.
  • Administer medications in compliance with departmental protocols and nursing regulations.
  • Ensure care delivery aligns with patient-centered principles and regulatory standards.
  • Foster a positive educational environment for students and staff.
  • Deliver effective patient and family education and assist with discharge planning.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and maintain clear communication with nursing staff and other stakeholders.
  • Document care accurately in the medical records and report any discrepancies in care processes.
  • Participate in the recruitment and retention efforts of nursing staff.
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based nursing practice standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree).
  • Possession of a valid RN license.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in registered nursing.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong ethical standards and accountability in nursing practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in ACLS, BLS, and National Certification.
  • Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Emergency Department (ED) settings.

Additional Information:
Individuals in this role must be equipped to use personal protective equipment, including N95 masks and other respiratory devices.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
