Position Overview:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality imaging for medical evaluation. This role does not include supervisory responsibilities over other technologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and educate patients for procedures by reviewing their medical history, positioning them appropriately, and administering contrast media and medications as permitted by practice scope.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures.
  • Evaluate imaging results and take necessary actions to address any quality issues.
  • Provide patients with information regarding procedures and equipment to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Continuously monitor patient conditions and respond to any changes as needed.
  • Implement safety protocols and conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions, keeping colleagues informed.
  • Manage daily work assignments effectively.
  • Participate actively in maintaining accreditation standards and compliance with inspections.
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, and training of new staff members.
  • Ensure staff meet educational requirements.
  • Contribute to the disciplinary process when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
  • Ensure that work areas are stocked and equipment is cleaned according to departmental standards.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and communicate any schedule variations with management.
  • Engage in departmental improvements and adapt to new roles as required.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation:
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

Physical Requirements:
Constant physical activities include hearing, lifting, pulling, pushing, standing, and walking. Frequent activities involve lifting and pushing, while occasional activities may include handling sharps.
