About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Director to join our team at AdventHealth Heart of Florida. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive patient safety programs to reduce medical errors and adverse patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a hospital-wide internal risk management program aligned with Florida Statute 395.0197
  • Chair the Patient Safety Council and maintain the Patient Safety Dashboard
  • Identify and analyze potential exposures to accidental loss and report to administration and the facility Board of Directors
  • Review event reports to ensure potentially compensable events are reported to Adventist Health System (AHS) Risk Management
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Three (3) years plus experience in hospital risk management and demonstrated successes in the field of Health Care
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) within 1 year of employment
