Position Overview:
The Staff Action Officer will be responsible for orchestrating and overseeing the creation of detailed reports aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and execution of organizational initiatives. This role involves conducting both quantitative and qualitative assessments as well as program evaluations to provide critical insights to management regarding the enhancement of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate comprehensive reports to optimize the overall execution of organizational programs.
- Analyze the deployment of new policies and the necessary resource allocation.
- Supervise the establishment of facilities, systems, and budget evaluations for various programs.
- Provide management with actionable information to refine initiatives and strategic plans.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with the DoD Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process.
  • Experience serving as an advisor to senior management, including GS-15 and above.
  • Expertise in planning, coordinating, and producing comprehensive reports with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with the implementation of new policies and strategies, including resource allocation and oversight of program development.
  • Strong ability to draft and edit technical documents, publications, and presentations to effectively communicate research findings and technical information.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
  • High school diploma or GED with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in DoD Acquisition processes and policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing correspondence, facilitating meetings, managing issues, and analyzing data for trends.
  • Knowledge of JCIDS capability requirements documentation and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) views.
  • Experience managing program contract transitions and associated risks.
  • Familiarity with Information Technology systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Certification in acquisition, financial management, or engineering is a plus.

Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
