Position Overview:
The Staff Action Officer plays a crucial role in orchestrating the creation of detailed reports aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and execution of organizational initiatives. This position involves conducting both quantitative and qualitative assessments as well as program evaluations. The officer will provide management with critical insights to refine initiatives and strategic plans, analyze the rollout of new policies, and ensure the appropriate allocation of resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and coordination of comprehensive reports to elevate the overall execution of organizational programs.
- Conduct in-depth analyses and evaluations to inform management decisions.
- Oversee the establishment of facilities, systems, and budget assessments pertinent to the program.
- Analyze the implementation of new policies and resource allocation.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience with the DoD Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process.
- Experience serving as an advisor to senior management, particularly at the GS-15 level or higher.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive reports with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with the implementation of new policies and strategies, including resource allocation and oversight of facilities and systems development.
- Strong writing and editing skills for technical documents, publications, and presentations.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
- High school diploma or GED with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in DoD Acquisition processes and policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in drafting correspondence, managing meetings, and analyzing trends for senior-level decision-making.
- Knowledge of JCIDS capability requirements documentation and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) views.
- Experience managing program contract transitions and associated risks.
- Familiarity with Information Technology systems.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Certification in acquisition, financial management, or engineering is a plus.
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits:
Booz Allen Hamilton values your contributions and offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work-life programs. The projected salary range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 annually, based on various factors including location and individual qualifications.
