Position Overview:
The Staff Action Officer is responsible for orchestrating the creation of detailed reports aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and execution of organizational initiatives. This role involves performing both quantitative and qualitative assessments and evaluating program outcomes. The officer will supply management with insights on enhancing strategic initiatives and plans. Responsibilities also include analyzing the deployment of new policies and the necessary resource allocation. The position entails overseeing the formulation of facilities, systems, and budget assessments for the program.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and coordination of comprehensive reports to enhance the execution of organizational programs.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to support management in strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the implementation of new policies and manage resource allocation effectively.
- Ensure the development of facilities and systems aligns with strategic program goals.
- Prepare and present technical documentation and findings to diverse external audiences.
Essential Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with the DoD Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process.
- Proven track record of advising senior management, including GS-15 and above.
- Strong background in developing comprehensive reports with minimal supervision.
- Expertise in policy implementation and resource management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in DoD Acquisition processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing correspondence, conducting meetings, and analyzing trends for senior-level decision-making.
- Familiarity with JCIDS capability requirements documentation and DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) views.
- Experience in managing program contract transitions and associated risks.
- Knowledge of Information Technology systems.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Possession of DAWIA Level III Certification in acquisition, financial management, or engineering is advantageous.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
