Role Overview

The Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances will report directly to the SVP of Strategic Partnerships and collaborate closely with our Chief Growth Officer and other executive team members. This individual will be tasked with expanding RECOM's business by identifying, qualifying, developing, and presenting potential new partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in technical sales and demonstrated experience working with senior-level decision-makers across various departments to formulate and execute partnership strategies that propel the business forward.

This role is pivotal within RECOM's management team, requiring close collaboration with leaders throughout the organization. The successful candidate must be adept at developing and implementing strategies that drive substantial and sustained growth. This individual will create proactive proposals and offer value-added services to new partners, focusing on establishing innovative partnerships with leading domestic and global companies in B2C vertical markets, such as beauty, housewares, pet products, juvenile goods, electronics, and more.

We seek a candidate who brings experience and insights to continuously challenge the organization and help us achieve exponential growth by advancing new strategies and enhancing the sophistication of all business development processes, including lead generation, positioning, capture, proposals, and pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the SVP of Strategic Partnerships and Chief Growth Officer to formulate and implement RECOM's sales and marketing strategy.
  • Oversee the sales process from prospecting through deal closure, including lead generation, client meetings, prospect qualification, and RFP completion.
  • Manage and proactively drive pipeline volume, accelerate the sales cycle, and effectively close new business opportunities aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Leverage relationships with external stakeholders to enhance retention and acquisition efforts.
  • Monitor and communicate competitor activities in the market, identifying key strengths and weaknesses relative to RECOM's service offerings.
  • Effectively advocate for RECOM by articulating its market position, competitive advantages, and value proposition to prospective partners.
  • Lead presentations to prospective partners independently or alongside senior business development team members.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to develop high-quality, personalized sales materials and pitch decks.
  • Track business development metrics and share insights to drive activity and support the overall health of the business.
  • Represent RECOM at relevant industry events and conferences.
  • Travel Requirements: 25-50% travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Sales, Business Administration, Advertising, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a sales or business development role, with a proven track record of success (e.g., exceeding sales quotas, being a top performer among peers, maintaining long-term partner/client relationships).
  • Proven ability to manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, analyzing needs, pitching products/services, delivering proposals, negotiating deals, and closing, all while prioritizing brand loyalty.
  • Demonstrated capability in conducting analytical competitive analysis.
  • Proven understanding of financials, forecasting mechanics, and variable sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration.
  • Experience in e-commerce or direct experience with retail brands as a Buyer or Sales professional.
  • Ability to forge key innovative partnerships with leading domestic and global companies in B2C vertical markets, such as beauty, pet products, sporting goods, electronics, etc.
  • Capability to develop and test solutions to complex challenges and lead by example rather than delegation.
  • Ability to articulate a selling strategy and engage in solutions-oriented discussions with prospective partners.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with agility and the ability to operate without a predefined playbook.
  • Natural ability to connect and build strong relationships, demonstrating high emotional intelligence and clear, persuasive communication skills.
  • Ability to command a room as a dynamic public speaker with strategic credibility, while also employing analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to foster productive business relationships.
