Position Overview:

The Senior Vice President of Finance will serve as a vital member of the executive leadership team, overseeing all financial operations within the organization. This position demands a seasoned leader with extensive expertise in the residential construction field, financial oversight, and strategic development. The SVP of Finance will be responsible for steering financial strategies, managing operational finance, and safeguarding the financial integrity of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Direction: Formulate and execute financial strategies that support the company's growth ambitions. Deliver financial insights and strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Direct the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Evaluate financial performance, discern trends, and provide actionable insights to inform decision-making.
  • Operational Finance Oversight: Supervise daily financial operations, encompassing accounting, treasury, taxation, and risk management. Ensure precise financial reporting and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Capital Management: Oversee the capital structure, including debt and equity financing. Optimize capital allocation to facilitate strategic investments and growth opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and guide the finance team, cultivating a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with external stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, and auditors. Act as the primary liaison for all financial matters.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address financial risks, ensuring the long-term viability of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance capacity within the residential construction sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks pertinent to the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated success in formulating and implementing financial strategies that drive organizational growth.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
