About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compound Semiconductor Process Development Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department, you will be responsible for leading and executing process development efforts, improving product yield, and developing new processes and device capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute process development plans to improve product yield and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes and device capabilities
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize process parameters and improve device performance
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior work experience, or Master's degree in STEM and 3 years of prior work experience, or PhD in STEM
  • Experience in semiconductor processing techniques such as photo lithography, dry etching, metals evaporation, and optical or scanning electron microscope inspections
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in STEM
  • Experience troubleshooting a diverse set of fabrication equipment and establishing equipment qualification and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing methods
  • Experience related to semiconductor processing, device physics, and data analysis
