Global Accounting AR/AP Contract Management Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst to join our team at GLOVIS America, Inc. in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for processing AR/AP invoices for Freight Forwarding, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining records.

Key Responsibilities
  • AR/AP Invoice Processing
    • Prepare and review all AR/AP invoices, ensuring accurate billing and data entry.
    • Dispute and follow up on detention/demurrage/Chassis invoices with liners, customers, and vendors.
    • Manage and report accessories charges due to operational issues.
  • Month-End Closing
    • Prepare, review, and audit all data entry for month-end closing, including rates, GL code, and Freight code.
    • Prepare month-end reports, including Journal Entry preparation and analysis of P&L and Reconciliation.
  • Payment Aging and Vendor Management
    • Ensure timely payment of A/R and A/P, and reconcile vendor statements.
    • Follow up on payments with AR/AP HQ accounting department.
  • Customer and Vendor Setup
    • Prepare required documents for new vendors and customers, and set up accounts on the system.
    • Follow up on account setup and SAP codes with AR/AP accounting department.
  • Administrative Support
    • Provide reports and information to other teams as needed.
    • Support special projects and assist manager and team members as required.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience
    • One year of experience in Contract, Accounting, Logistics, SCM, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficient PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database management systems.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently prioritize competing tasks.
