Selectek is collaborating with a client seeking a Financial Operations Manager to oversee their Accounting Team in the Atlanta region.

This role is integral to the North American sales division and reports directly to the Managing Director and the Group Controller based internationally.

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure accurate daily tracking of cash flow, process customer invoices, and maintain up-to-date accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) for the North American sales office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Month-End Closing processes
  • Authorize month-end journal entries
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations
  • Generate financial statements utilizing Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Cognos
  • Compile additional financial schedules at each quarter and year-end
  • Calculate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain a comprehensive system of accounting procedures
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging
  • Oversee inventory management
  • Coordinate annual audit engagements with external audit firms
  • Facilitate periodic internal audit engagements
  • Supervise the preparation of annual tax returns by external accounting firms
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • Process wires and ACH payments
  • Administer bi-weekly payroll
  • Calculate bonuses
  • Oversee credit card program
  • Supervise a team of two to three employees
  • Prepare monthly income statement forecasts
  • Develop annual budgets
  • Coordinate annual business insurance renewals
  • Assist in managing PPO-based 401(k) plans, health insurance, and other employee benefits

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution
  • 7+ years of experience in a Controller role
  • Strong understanding of costing, taxation, BOI regulations, and SEC regulations
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Navision preferred)
  • Experience in a managerial capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in accounting or MBA
  • CPA License
  • Experience with Navision

The Financial Operations Manager will have three direct reports in Atlanta and will collaborate closely with their overseas counterpart in Thailand. While the role includes some payroll, benefits, and minor HR responsibilities, the core focus remains on accounting functions and ensuring accurate reconciliation of month-end and quarter-end data.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $130,000 - $160,000
  • Quarterly bonus potential (approximately 2.5% of salary, totaling up to 10% annually)
  • Holiday bonus equivalent to two weeks' salary
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with employee matching
  • Additional perks and incentives

Work Environment:

  • Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, with occasional evening or weekend support required
  • Remote work: One day per week (typically Friday)
  • Minimal travel (less than 10%) may be required
