Position Overview: The Human Resources Specialist will report directly to the General Manager and the Area HR Manager, playing a pivotal role in supporting all human resources functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Area HR Manager on matters related to employee relations and staffing goals.
  • Generate and manage various reports while focusing on the administrative aspects of HR reporting, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations inquiries, including leaves of absence, paid time off, and workers' compensation.
  • Assist in conducting interviews, investigations, and disciplinary actions, providing HR support at the operational level.
  • Work closely with other departments, including store management, HR, training, payroll, and benefits.
  • Advise store management on workforce planning strategies.
  • Support recruitment efforts by fostering professional relationships with external entities to enhance applicant flow.
  • Utilize various recruiting tools and implement talent acquisition strategies, including on-site recruiting events and job fairs.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple locations as needed.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, read computer screens, and lift or carry objects weighing at least 10 pounds.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in human resources administration or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and HR systems, preferably Workday.
  • Understanding of HR policies, employment law, recruitment practices, and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs, including occasional evenings and weekends.
