Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Transactions Manager to join our company, BECO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with specific experience in managing financial transactions for multiple industries, preferably in multi-family, restaurants, and retail. Additionally, proficiency in sales tax management is crucial for this role.

The Financial Transactions Manager will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including budget reports and bank reconciliations.
  • Reconciliations: Ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and identifying any discrepancies or errors.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting regulations and laws.
  • Recurring Functions: Performing day-to-day maintenance of QuickBooks, including month-end close reporting, budget reports, and bank reconciliations.
  • Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reporting: Preparing financial statements and reports, providing insight and recommendations based on analysis.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines. The candidate must be a self-motivated individual who welcomes challenges with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Pre-Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in a bookkeeping or similar environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • QuickBooks experience required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Independent, able to work effectively and efficiently under minimal supervision.
  • Must be a team player who easily adapts to change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sales tax experience preferred.
