Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Management Specialist to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As a Material Management Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compiling stock records of items in and at storage yards.
  • Verifying receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
  • Examining stock to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Storing articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves according to identifying information.
  • Filling orders or issuing supplies from stock daily as needed.
  • Preparing periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
  • Compiling reports on the use of stock handling, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage or damage to stock, location changes.
  • Maintaining tooling and tool control procedures.
  • Preparing excess material, damaged material or tools for turn in to local warehouse.
  • Preparing proper paperwork utilizing DD-1149 forms for material turn in.
  • Managing Tooling services and accountability.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field.

Work Environment:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
