Position Summary: We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team, focusing on developing and maintaining comprehensive security programs. This role involves ensuring compliance with established security protocols and enhancing our cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, document, and sustain a formal Information Systems Security Program (ISSP) that aligns with security policies and standards.
  • Implement a notification and enforcement process for security policy updates in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and ensure adherence to established security plans.
  • Oversee configuration management for security-related software and hardware, ensuring timely updates and documentation.
  • Review and endorse system assessment documentation, providing recommendations to the appropriate authorities.
  • Establish procedures for the secure handling of system memory and media.
  • Maintain a repository for all system assessment documentation and modifications as required.
  • Coordinate security inspections and assessments as directed by management.
  • Develop and refine incident response procedures, ensuring effective communication with management regarding security violations.
  • Ensure that data ownership and access rights are clearly defined for all information systems.
  • Formulate and maintain procedures for the authorization of software and hardware usage.
  • Notify management of any changes affecting system assessment and authorization.
  • Address security requirements throughout the system life cycle.
  • Provide security engineering insights during project documentation and reviews.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of system functions and security policies.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and prepare reports outlining security risks and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity.
  • Possession of a valid certification meeting industry standards.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework processes.
  • Proficient in vulnerability management and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Technical knowledge of physical, virtual, and cloud computing environments.
  • Understanding of computer networking principles.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to convey cybersecurity concepts effectively.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI required.
