Position Overview:

The Electrical Quality Assurance Engineer is tasked with overseeing and executing the daily quality assurance responsibilities associated with specific projects, ensuring that all work adheres to established standards.

This role encompasses direct supervision and evaluation of documentation and physical inspection phases throughout the workflow process, collaborating with both internal teams (such as Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers) and external partners to deliver a high-quality product.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess electrical construction quality control methodologies to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Draft comprehensive audit reports for management and relevant stakeholders to promote improvement.
  • Establish and implement inspection, examination, and testing protocols, documenting all relevant data.
  • Conduct daily inspections and tests necessary to ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings for all work conducted.
  • Evaluate and endorse contractor quality programs, plans, and checklists.
  • Support project teams in their initiatives to elevate the quality of the final product.
  • Analyze job specifications and devise inspection plans to confirm adherence to quality control standards.
  • Engage in preconstruction meetings to align on quality expectations.
  • Assist in resolving quality control challenges as they arise.
  • Organize and execute quarterly oversight of third-party contractors, producing written reports for management.
  • Monitor and report on inspection activities consistently.
  • Develop and maintain robust quality documentation and procedures.
  • Evaluate process plans concerning quality control and recommend necessary enhancements.
  • Ensure installations comply with National Electric Code Standards.
  • Maintain familiarity with project plans, specifications, and contractual obligations.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical construction.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to access heights using ladders or scaffolding.
  • Knowledge of electrical trade practices and general construction activities.
  • Familiarity with data collection, analysis, and presentation techniques.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with computer systems and software for documentation and quality record retention.
  • Willingness to be flexible and travel as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with personal goals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Capable of professional communication with all levels of personnel, from field staff to management and clients.
