Position Overview:As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing pre-delivery inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agricultural and farm machinery.
- Ordering necessary parts and preparing detailed repair estimates.
- Documenting accurate inspection and service reports while maintaining required records.
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Adhering to company policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
We seek candidates with:
- 1-3 years of mechanical experience with agricultural or similar equipment.
- A technical or vocational degree in a mechanical field is strongly preferred.
The role requires the ability to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted and maneuver around heavy machinery in various terrains. Service technicians must also be capable of operating a motor vehicle during both day and night.
Working Conditions:Service Technicians may encounter hazards related to electrical, mechanical, and power equipment. There is also a risk of exposure to chemicals, used oil, spent antifreeze, parts cleaning solvents, volatile hydrocarbons, and battery acid.
Travel:This position requires little to no travel.
