This role involves overseeing the maintenance operations within a family-owned regional enterprise that has been flourishing since 1934. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in plant maintenance and a proven track record in leadership. Effective communication with all management levels, along with the ability to manage and support engineering teams, is essential. A strong commitment to well-structured preventative maintenance programs is a must. Candidates should be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling at least 50 pounds, and must be flexible with their work schedule.

Key Qualifications:

Familiarity with various aspects of maintenance, including:

  • Preventative maintenance protocols
  • Boiler systems
  • Compressed air systems
  • Welding and piping techniques
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Electrical systems and PLCs
  • Electromechanical troubleshooting
  • General facility and equipment upkeep

Additional experience with components such as air cylinders, solenoid valves, steam traps, motor starters, gear reducers, inverter drives, or industrial laundry machinery is advantageous.


Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee the scheduled preventative maintenance program
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals
  • Uphold safety and cleanliness standards
  • Assist in various departments as required
  • Supervise frontline maintenance staff
  • Train and mentor both existing and new maintenance personnel
  • Design, plan, install, and maintain plant systems
Qualifications
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Physical capability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience
  • Highly organized and computer literate
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
