Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all dispatches are entered accurately, to include product information, delivery location, tank status, customer information, and internal notes critical to customer requirements.
  • Assign all drivers' work for the next day using the first-in/first-out seniority list.
  • Notify drivers of their loads the next day.
  • Double-check all dispatches created by data entry to ensure they are error-free and then stuff them in the correct boxes.
  • Back up the dispatcher during lunch hour and any time the need arises.
  • Responsible for scanning all appropriate documents, such as cleaning certificates and pressure test certificates.
  • Responsible for ordering on the book and updating as necessary.
  • Responsible for adding same-day orders to the ASAP/Add-on book.
  • Responsible for sending orders and advising the load planner on the next day's orders.
  • Responsible for updating the orders/spreadsheets for Invista with tank number and depot information and sending them out to the appropriate parties.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of customer service experience in a transportation/logistics industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Dispatch experience is desired but not required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Organizational skills, ability to multitask, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer and data entry skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Familiar with email system communications.
  • Punctuality and dependability.
