Who are we seeking?

We are currently looking for a Fire Safety Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our Northeast Fire Protection & Life Safety division. In this capacity, you will engage in a variety of projects that encompass the design, assessment, and oversight of fire protection systems for both public and private sector clients across the Northeast region.

As a member of our high-performing team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Creating detailed drawings and specifications for fire suppression systems, including specialized systems, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Conducting hydraulic calculations for fire protection systems using advanced software.
  • Reviewing designs to ensure compliance with building codes and fire safety regulations.
  • Evaluating contractor submissions, including shop drawings and product data.
  • Monitoring the installation of fire protection systems to ensure adherence to specifications and preparing comprehensive field reports.
What you will contribute to our team:
  • Certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Water-Based Fire Suppression.
  • 3-8 years of experience within the fire protection sector.
  • Proficiency in design software, particularly Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with ICC codes and NFPA Standards.
  • Understanding and application of relevant industry standards and client requirements.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships across various teams and client groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex issues clearly.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for design and innovation.
Salary range: $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
