Key Responsibilities
  • Steer the technical strategy for our radar initiatives and shape the evolution of future radar systems.
  • Engage in the design and evaluation of signal and data processing technologies, algorithm formulation, and electronic protection methods, while serving as a primary liaison with upper management and clients.
  • Offer technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers and management, covering a diverse range of technologies and missions, including pulse-Doppler radar, Continuous Wave (CW) radar design, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and various surveillance systems.
  • Collaborate with Department of Defense clients and industry partners to outline system capabilities and functionalities for upcoming radar systems.
  • Participate in business development efforts, including the creation of marketing presentations, white papers, and proposals.
  • Lead the design and development of radar systems, defining system requirements, architecture, and design specifications.
  • Create simulations, models, and algorithms for Electronic Warfare and Countermeasures systems, along with conducting data analysis.
  • Perform trade studies and risk assessments to identify the most effective and innovative solutions to meet client missions and requirements.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends within the radar domain.
  • Plan and execute training programs to enhance radar system engineering expertise within the team.
  • Support functional leadership by being a visible and approachable technical authority within the Systems Engineering group.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support field tests, demonstrations, and client engagements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with 15+ years of relevant experience in radar system design and analysis, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience in conducting technical training and mentoring in a professional setting.
  • Skilled in producing technical documentation, creating technical drawings, and presenting to management and clients.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in algorithm development and analysis using MATLAB, C/C++, or Python.
  • Expertise in traditional Systems Engineering processes, including requirements analysis, architecture development, and risk management.

Security Clearance
  • Must be a U.S. citizen; selected candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering methodologies and tools such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and System Modeling Language (SysML).
