Executive Director of Operations

Gin & Luck is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Operations to lead our team and drive business success.

Job Summary

The Executive Director of Operations is responsible for the overall management of our operations, including financial performance, staffing, training, payroll, staff leadership, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strong leadership and guidance to front-of-house and back-of-house staff
    • Lead by example and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in hospitality and communication
  • Financial Management
    • Manage financial performance and ensure profitability targets are met
    • Establish and monitor financial controls, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Staffing and Training
    • Lead hiring and recruitment efforts, ensuring candidates align with Gin & Luck's core values
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped to deliver exceptional service
  • Operations and Compliance
    • Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Monitor and improve customer satisfaction through regular feedback and evaluation
    • Build relationships with preferred patrons and maintain good community relations
  • Events and Marketing
    • Coordinate events and develop marketing strategies to drive business growth
    • Oversee department leads in developing events offerings and quality control
  • Facilities and Maintenance
    • Maintain the facility and oversee all facility maintenance and improvements
    • Ensure the property is up to date and compliant with all permitting, legal, and regulatory requirements
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management, including financial and operational performance
    • Manage administrative tasks, including payroll, benefits, and employee onboarding
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in the hospitality industry
    • Relevant education and certifications, such as a degree in hospitality or business
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with staff, customers, and stakeholders
    • Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Compensation and Benefits
