About the Role

The University of South Carolina is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Graduate Program Administrator in the College of Arts and Sciences. This role will provide administrative support to the Graduate Director and serve as a liaison between the Graduate Director, graduate students, applicants, and Graduate School staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties, including calendar management, deadline tracking, and workload anticipation.
  • Make independent decisions regarding the operations of the Graduate Director's office.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for graduate students, applicants, and Graduate School staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a cordial and friendly manner.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of university policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and no prior work experience.
  • Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education and/or experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and make independent decisions.
