WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing mechanical components for food safety systems utilized in food processing facilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating mechanical designs for food safety systems using SolidWorks.
  • Updating and maintaining existing SolidWorks models.
  • Preparing documentation for production transfer, including models, detailed drawings, diagrams, BOM, and assembly instructions.
  • Developing parts manuals with exploded views for customer service.
  • Designing and documenting preventive maintenance schedules for all manufactured systems.
  • Creating mechanical sections and system diagrams for equipment manuals.
  • Documenting installation requirements and procedures for manufactured systems.
  • Streamlining equipment assembly and production time through effective design practices.
  • Creating user-friendly system pre-installation surveys and available options.
  • Collaborating within engineering design teams.
  • Conducting mechanical engineering analyses.
  • Utilizing creativity and mechanical design skills extensively.
  • Establishing procedures and criteria for performance testing of designs.
  • Occasionally visiting sites for new machine installations.
  • Enhancing process and reliability for chemical manufacturing projects.
  • Conducting root-cause analysis at customer locations for company-wide initiatives.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • Professional Engineer License.
  • 1-3 years of experience with SolidWorks, including system design, part modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Familiarity with Pipe-Flo software.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing plant engineering support or reliability engineering.

OUR WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This role primarily involves an office setting, with some areas requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) due to potential hazards. Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, and physical activities like standing, walking, pushing, carrying, or lifting may occur.
