Fleet Maintenance Technician
Objective: As a fleet maintenance technician, you will serve as the primary mechanic for Kimbel's fleet of vehicles and trailers. This role is critical to ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
- Conduct essential mechanical tasks, including but not limited to: oil changes, tire rotation and replacement, battery and light bulb replacement, and trailer repairs.
- Document and upload all receipts related to vehicle maintenance and repairs for a diverse fleet of assets.
- Coordinate appointments with dealerships and other service providers for repairs, warranty work, and routine maintenance.
- Transport vehicles for service or warranty work as needed.
- Travel to various Kimbel locations to provide maintenance support as required.
- Basic computer proficiency for maintaining records.
- Possession of fundamental mechanic tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Welding experience is preferred.
- Ability to maneuver and reverse a trailer, or willingness to learn.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues, vendors, and suppliers.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Availability to work from early morning to late afternoon, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work.
- Must successfully complete a DOT physical and drug screening.
