Position Overview:
The Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of electrical systems and wire routing for aircraft, adhering to client requirements with minimal oversight. This role demands a keen analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail to foster effective design practices. The engineer will progressively learn to manage, schedule, rectify, and document designs, ultimately gaining the ability to execute projects independently. Regular communication with team members is essential to maintain a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of electrical systems and wire routing methodologies.
  • Engage in continuous research to identify and apply relevant design principles.
  • Interpret client specifications to outline project scope.
  • Create electrical interface diagrams in accordance with client requirements.
  • Compile and analyze Aircraft Load data.
  • Ensure compliance of specified systems with applicable regulations for aircraft approval.
  • Assist in preparing necessary documentation for design approvals through STC and Mod processes.
  • Develop testing protocols to assess new system designs.
  • Lead small-scale design initiatives.
  • Utilize CAD software, preferably AutoCAD, for drafting purposes.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures throughout the design process.
  • Support the resolution of production-related challenges.
  • May provide assistance for electrical and avionics projects at various locations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline. Relevant educational experience from an accredited institution may substitute for professional experience (1 year of education = 2 years of experience). Candidates must have at least two years of experience with corporate aircraft and demonstrate proficiency in CATIA, AutoCAD, Electre, or similar software. Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of MS Office Suite. The role requires the ability to work in and around aircraft, which may involve physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, and climbing.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience in reading engineering drawings and drafting is preferred. Familiarity with FAA regulations, specifically FAR Part 25, is advantageous.

Working Conditions:
This position requires extended periods of desk and computer work. Occasional travel may be necessary.
