Account Executive, Group Sales

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to join our team as the Account Executive, Group Sales for the Washington Spirit. This role requires identifying new business prospects, demonstrating innovative thinking, and delivering exceptional customer service across all aspects of the role. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to foster robust relationships within the Washington, DC (DMV) community, and a drive to actively seek out new business opportunities. Reporting to the Manager of Group Sales, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the Washington Spirit.

Responsibilities
  • Sell a full menu of the client's product offering, focusing on group outings and events.
  • Meet or exceed established sales effort and revenue goals, while exceeding group leader expectations in value and service.
  • Develop authentic relationships with organizations to organize group outings through targeted outreach, networking, appointments, and sales events.
  • Retain, renew, and grow group ticket and hospitality book of business each season.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to enhance the overall group experience.
  • Work assigned sales team events and games, and outside normal business hours.
  • Maintain accurate records in support of sales efforts as defined by the organization in CRM system.
  • All other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 months related experience working in professional or collegiate sports preferred.
  • Experience with Archtics & Ticketmaster ticket systems preferred.
