Job Title: Staff Services Analyst

Join the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) team as a Staff Services Analyst, playing a vital role in supporting the administrative functions of the organization.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst will be responsible for performing progressively complex and difficult transaction duties in various personnel transaction areas. The incumbent will apply applicable laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and policies with careful attention to detail, maintaining collegial and cooperative working relationships with internal and external business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of personnel transaction duties, including recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
  • Process and maintain personnel records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide administrative support to the Staff Services Manager I and other team members, as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, managers, and vendors.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and policies affecting personnel transactions.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must satisfy one of the following requirements:

  • Be eligible for the competitive State civil service exam pertaining to this classification.
  • Be transfer eligible, having current employment with the State of California in the same classification or a comparable classification.
  • Be reinstatement eligible, having obtained previous permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or a comparable classification.
