Job Description and Duties

Job Summary: The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Services Analyst to join our team in the Northern Facilities Planning Section. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support and analytical functions to all staff and management in facilities management and leasing activities for EDD-owned, leased, and subleased buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support with annual budgets, create purchase orders in the FI$Cal system, and enter data in other systems.
  • Perform subject matter expertise on budget reconciliation and accounting for the unit.
  • Manage files related to contracts, purchase orders, Cal-Card purchases, travel claims, and training files.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information, and tactfully interact with management and staff both internally and externally, and external customers.
  • Provide clear and concise information to assist staff with contracting, analyzing issues, and monitoring and tracking files to meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

This position is headquartered in Sacramento (Central Office) location and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
