Position Overview:
We are seeking a Full-Time Sales Associate with open availability to deliver outstanding customer service in our retail environment.

ROLE SUMMARY:


The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience by warmly welcoming customers and addressing their inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Sales Associates are responsible for maintaining an organized and well-stocked sales area that aligns with company standards. They will also operate a point-of-sale cash register system to guarantee accurate pricing and product quality at the time of sale.


Compensation:
$15.70 per hour.


Full-Time employees in [Retail, Sales/Operations] are entitled to a range of benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and various voluntary supplemental benefits.

Additionally, these roles are eligible for paid time off, which includes vacation, sick leave, holidays, floating holidays, jury duty, and bereavement leave.

All employees may also contribute pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) to our retirement plan, with eligibility starting at 18 years of age.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver exceptional customer service while upholding company values.
Assist customers with inquiries, concerns, and purchases.
Process accurate cashier transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer using a computerized point-of-sale system.

Keep the sales floor clean and organized by regularly tidying shelves and racks, picking up items from the floor, and returning products from carts or baskets, as well as managing returned or unwanted items.

Ensure a safe, clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and restrooms.
Adhere to all retail center policies and procedures.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for both employees and customers.
Participate in cross-training for other departments as needed; serve as a backup for other areas when required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To succeed in this role, candidates must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:
One (1) year of experience in retail sales or cash handling is preferred.

Other Requirements:
Must demonstrate accuracy with numbers and general calculations, and have an understanding of the value of various coins and US currency.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication, are necessary.
Effective communication skills with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers are essential.
Ability to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine is required.
Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting for up to eight (8) hours daily.
Visual acuity for accurate transactions is necessary.
Availability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime as needed.
