JOB SUMMARY:


The Retail Sales Associate plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service by warmly welcoming customers and promptly addressing their inquiries.

Sales Associates are tasked with maintaining a well-organized and stocked sales area that aligns with company standards, as well as proficiently operating a point-of-sale cash register system to ensure accurate product pricing and quality at the time of purchase.


COMPENSATION:
$15.70 per hour.


Full-Time employees in [Retail, Sales/Operations] are entitled to Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long-Term Disability, and various voluntary supplemental benefits.

Additionally, these roles are eligible for paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, floating holidays, jury duty, and bereavement leave.

All employees may also contribute pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) to our retirement plan – eligibility begins at 18 years of age.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Deliver exceptional Customer Service in alignment with company values.
Assist customers with inquiries, concerns, and purchases.
Conduct accurate cashier transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer using a computerized point-of-sale system.

Ensure a clean and organized sales floor by regularly tidying shelves and racks, picking up items from the floor, and returning products from carts or baskets, as well as processing returned or unwanted items.

Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and well-stocked sales area and restrooms.
Adhere to all retail center policies and procedures.
Follow safety protocols to create a secure working environment for both employees and customers.
Participate in cross-training in other departments or areas; serve as a backup for other roles as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this position, an individual must effectively fulfill each essential duty. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:
One (1) year of experience in retail sales or cash handling preferred.

Other:
Must demonstrate accuracy with numbers and general calculations, and understand the value of various coins and US currency.
Must possess basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Must effectively communicate with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
Must be proficient in operating a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.
Must be able to endure prolonged standing, bending, and lifting for up to eight (8) hours per day.
Ability to distinguish colors for accurate transactions.
Must be flexible to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime as necessary.
