Position Overview

The Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering connections within the community to enhance recruitment efforts and support prospective students and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain a strong presence in the community to facilitate outreach and recruitment initiatives.
  • Enrollment Counseling: Provide guidance and support to incoming students and their families throughout the enrollment process.
  • Student Enrollment Management: Process new student enrollments, transfers, withdrawals, and manage waiting lists efficiently.
  • Parent Liaison: Act as a point of contact for parents, promoting their involvement and education in the enrollment process.
  • Operational Administration: Oversee all enrollment, grading, and scheduling procedures, ensuring adherence to established timelines.
  • Data Management: Utilize and maintain the computerized student information system to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Record Maintenance: Create and update student records, both physical and digital, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Attendance Tracking: Maintain accurate attendance records in compliance with EMIS standards, verifying data with parents and teachers.
  • Testing Records: Keep detailed records of student performance on state-mandated and standardized assessments.
  • Withdrawal Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records regarding student suspensions and withdrawals, including reasons for departure.
  • Special Education Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports related to exceptional, gifted, or special education students as required.
  • Customized Reporting: Generate tailored reports to meet the specific needs of the Academy.
  • Information Dissemination: Communicate essential student information requirements to school personnel and other stakeholders.
  • Confidential Communication: Ensure compliance with confidentiality policies while interacting with students, parents, and staff.
  • Reception Duties: Perform receptionist tasks, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and addressing student needs.
  • Annual Enrollment Support: Assist in the yearly enrollment process, establishing connections with local educational institutions.
  • Confidentiality Maintenance: Uphold the confidentiality of student information at all times.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Carry out other duties as assigned by the Principal or management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience in K-12 education settings.
  • At least two years of experience with Student Information Systems and EMIS state reporting databases.
  • Ability to manage and submit state-mandated reports effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Successful completion of background checks and health screenings.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
