Position Overview

The Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering connections within the community to enhance outreach and recruitment efforts. This position involves providing comprehensive enrollment guidance to prospective students and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Establish a strong presence in the community to facilitate outreach and recruitment.
  • Enrollment Counseling: Offer personalized enrollment counseling to incoming students and their families.
  • Enrollment Processing: Manage the processing of new student enrollments, transfers, withdrawals, and waiting lists.
  • Parent Liaison: Act as a liaison to parents, promoting education and involvement.
  • Administrative Duties: Administer all enrollment, grading, and scheduling standard operating procedures and timelines.
  • Data Management: Utilize and maintain the computerized student information system effectively.
  • Record Keeping: Create and maintain comprehensive student records, ensuring both hard copy and online records are updated and accurate.
  • Attendance Management: Prepare and maintain computer records of student attendance, entering data from submitted forms and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Testing Records: Maintain records of students' scores on state-mandated and standardized tests.
  • Withdrawal Documentation: Keep accurate records of student suspensions and withdrawals, including reasons for withdrawal.
  • Reporting: Prepare customized reports related to exceptional, gifted, or special education students.
  • Information Dissemination: Communicate essential student information requirements to the Principal and other personnel.
  • Confidential Communication: Engage with school personnel, parents, and students while adhering to confidentiality policies.
  • Reception Duties: Perform receptionist tasks, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and addressing student needs.
  • Enrollment Assistance: Support yearly enrollment initiatives.
  • High School Relations: Build rapport with local and regional high schools and colleges.
  • Confidentiality Maintenance: Uphold student confidentiality at all times.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience in K-12 education is essential.
  • At least two years of experience with Student Information Systems and EMIS state reporting databases.
  • Ability to manage and submit state-mandated reports effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Successful completion of local, state, and federal criminal history checks and TB tests.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with students, parents, and administrators.
  • Proven ability to meet established deadlines.
