Sales Director

Camden Property Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for delivering sales excellence across our multifamily portfolio. You will foster a high-performing sales culture, create a sense of team purpose, motivation, and accountability, and directly supervise the leasing team to drive sales and revenue performance.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee sales operations at one or more communities, allocating resources effectively to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with leadership to set goals and develop strategies to exceed net market rent, revenue, occupancy, new leases, renewals, and customer sentiment score.
- Motivate the leasing team to capture all leads with a customer-focused mindset and set accountability for achieving sales goals.
- Develop, train, and manage a high-performing team by creating a trusting work environment, promoting cooperation, recognizing team and individual efforts, coaching through challenges in real-time, and supporting career path goals.
- Maintain an open-door policy to address employee issues and concerns.
- Proactively identify opportunities and solutions to improve sales tools and processes, share best practices with peers and leaders, and ensure company initiatives are implemented.
- Create weekly and monthly strategies to achieve portfolio goals by leveraging support departments and tools, focusing on underperforming metrics.
- Engage and promote resident retention by being customer-focused, with a commitment to timely communication and leveraging Camden's Loyalty Loop program.
- Empower and train the leasing team to overcome objections related to sales, retention, and customer service, serving as a point of escalation for unresolved issues.
- Lead by example, contributing to Camden's commitment to creating a great place to work and a culture of high employee engagement, with a focus on improving lives, one experience at a time.
- Demonstrate exceptional ability to communicate and connect with team members, including consistent and frequent one-on-one check-ins and sales team meetings.
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of the industry, competition, and market, applying this knowledge to gauge the portfolio's success and improve results.
- Monitor customer relationship management tools and sales performance dashboards to improve sales and efficiencies.
- Timely complete administrative tasks, including system-based approvals.
- Minimum of two years of leasing experience in residential property management required; supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to meet and exceed sales and customer service objectives.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to lead and motivate others.
- Maintain professional demeanor during high-stress situations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative without instruction.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess professional written and verbal communication skills.
